We are from Vancouver and are spoiled by very good sushi on our doorstep. Sansei met and exceeded our expectations (which were very high!). The dragonfly roll was our favorite. The nigiri and sashimi are very fresh and reasonably priced. Its busy up until about 830 and then dies down. Reservations are recommended. Very tasty!
The only thing that was good about this place, was food. It wasn't excellent, but it was good. Our waitress was like 15, giggled through the whole evening, could not answer anything, forgot or order. The guy who opened wine, put cork right back in it.... this place is so junky, is in the mall...IN THE MALL! next to grocery store! The dinnerware was plastic, the tablecloth was under the glass, out table was moving and their washroom was a mess with broken doors... this placed is nothing like Honolulu....
The sushi here is extremely fresh. They can also accommodate food allergies well, including soy allergies! That's very rare in a sushi restaurant. All the food is good. They also have a full bar.
Outstanding food! Place is busy, but servers are good, sushi chefs and kitchen are fast. I eat sushi weekly and this is some of the best I’ve ever had.
5 years later and I still think about the amazing meal we had here. The seafood was fresh and delicious.
