A few years later, when we were planning to move from California to Maui, Roger was there to help us plan - including locating both a short-term rental before we arrived, and then a long-term rental for us while we started our house-hunt. Over the course of over 6 months, Roger tirelessly helped us look for the right house to buy, in many different areas and subdivisions on Maui. We found the right house in Pukalani, Roger helped us get the deal closed, and he surprised us with our first housewarming gift. Since then, he has helped us learn more about and become part of the greater Maui community. We consider ourselves most fortunate to have Roger as our friend.
We have worked with Roger on two transactions - one purchase and one sale. He did an outstanding job in both cases. He got us the best possible prices on both the purchase and the sale. With respect to the purchase, he also set us up with a property manager to manage it as a rental for the first few years until we were ready to move in. In the case of the sale, the entire deal got done while we were 2,500 miles away which made it a little more challenging, but Roger made it all seamless and painless. Working with Roger, we always felt we were getting the benefit of the best possible market knowledge. He has a great service ethic, responding to emails and phone calls very quickly, and is a pleasure to work with.
Selling a condo from out of state can be a trying experience, especially when problems crop up, such as.... the unit above ours springing a leak and flooding our unit just after we had accepted an offer! Then there was a tropical storm that gave us water damage through a window frame shortly before closing... Yet Roger was there to make sure everything was taken care of properly and all damage was repaired to everyone's satisfaction. Roger went above and beyond for us, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent, attentive client care.
