They delivered tastes of teriyaki dishes as expected. Thumbs up. I had grilled AHI, teriyaki chicken thigh, and teriyaki beef. Beef was the best choice for us.
The service was great and the food was delicious!! We got spicy teriyaki on grilled chicken breast and it was delicious.
Tonight was the 6th or 7th time we've been to Maui Teriyaki, it's one of our favorite restaurants...but it was very different tonight. They are sharing the store front and kitchen with fish n chips now and the food is different. The chicken was dry and chewy with a small splash of sauce. I hope the owner decides to separate again so they can focus on quality because we would come back!
The Teriyaki here was so incredibly good. We got both the pork and chicken Teriyaki, I loved them both but would probably give the edge to the chicken. The rice was just right as well. I thought the cabbage was just okay, but I'm not a big fan of cabbage. Overall, we couldn't eat the Teriyaki and rice fast enough.
This place is really good, and not too expensive. I'm picky when it comes to meat, and even dark meat chicken is a little too strong of a taste for me. In my experience, it has been difficult to find chicken breast at restaurants in Hawaii - it's typically all dark meat. So I was really excited to see chicken breast on the menu here. But even that aside, I think this is a great place to eat and has very friendly service.
