The price has increased quite a bit since the other reviews were posted - $18 for poke bowl (1/2 lb of fish) and $13 for two tacos. There's only 1 BBQ grill at any time, so it can take up to 20min before your food arrives depending on how busy it is. We were getting hungry waiting for our order - but it was well worth the wait! The fish were SUPER FRESH - poke was buttery smooth and very tasty, lightly sauced and even the "spicy" wasn't too spicy - just watch out for jalapeno chunks. The slaw was fantastic! Sweet and tangy with pineapples, and a very light dressing that's not too creamy / heavy on the mayo! I don't normally like coleslaw as its too dry but LOVED the slaw! The tacos were huge, loaded with plenty of fish as you can see in the photos! DELICIOUS - pricy for two people but the freshness of the fish is worth it!
Tried the fresh poke (spicy) and the fish tacos both were fantastic. Guy at the window was extremely friendly. The food was equally as fantastic. A little gem tucked away in the back corner of a parking lot. Menu prices seem a little on the high side but fresh seafood is generally not cheap, presentation and flavors reflect the cost. My only regret was I didn't get back for round 2. Exceeded expectations and expectations were already high.
Well worth it!
We tried the Fish Tacos (fish and slaw with pineapples)and Spicy Poke at South Maui Fish Company and both were very good. The service was fast and friendly. It's a charming little Red Stand and they created a fenced off shady area to eat.
Besides the food the staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Service was quick and honestly prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. The poke comes with a lot of rice and a great pineapple slaw.
This food truck is incredible. I ate what might have been the best fish tacos of my life here. I'm writing this review 5 months after I went here and I still remember every bite. The dude who runs the truck is super cool and is awesome at what he does. My only regret was eating here just once.
Unbelievable poke! You can get the 1/3 lb poke and rice bowl for $13 or the 1/2 lb poke and rice bowl for $18. I got the 1/2lb bowl with half normal and half spicy poke and it was amazing. The regular poke was actually better than the spicy. It had a lot more flavor, but the spicy wasn't bad at all. It was just a bit one-note.
