This is a very small beach, all rock, with some excellent snorkeling. You have too swim out through a relatively narrow pass to get out (10m maybe) so it's better to go when the water is calm. We saw more things here than molokini, so I would say worth a stop.
Such beauty to behold. Not for people who can't swim well
Rocky beaches with some difficulty walking from alcove to alcove if your not watching where you plant your feet. Really cool snorkeling area with plenty of marine life, including sea turtles (we saw 4 the day we went). If you take the time to find coupons online for snorkeling rentals we found it worth it for saving. Getting in/out was a little daunting in some areas, be weary of sea urchins as we found them in the shallows and from above water they blend in with the slippery rocks.
Public access to this region is obscured by residential construction but is directly across from gravel parking area (although it seems some parked at Makena Landing and swam to this area).
One of the best dive and snorkel sites on the island by shore , kayak, or boat. Turtles love the underwater lava walls and caverns. When the south swell is up this is the first place to get murky and washed out though, so only go on flat-water days. Shower and bathrooms in small grass area and paved parking.
Really beautiful. Looks like an amazing spot to get married.
