Beautiful fine sand beach, perfect for swimming and relaxing. I felt like I was pulling into Beverly Hills of Maui driving to this beach. I also really appreciated this beach after visiting my first few Maui beaches with a rocky bottom and the associated banged up feet. Public showers at the entrance is a nice addition as well. Grab your picnic basket and soak up some sun here, you won't be disappointed.
Wailea Beach is one of the nicest beaches I've visited (which says a lot since I live in Southern California). The sand is silky smooth, the water is so clean, clear and warm that no adjustment is needed, the waves are gentile and while you swim, giant sea turtles come by for a visit.
We had an amazing time, and you will too.
Though it was sunny in the late afternoon, it started cooling down by evening and it was an enjoyable experience in this beach sunbathing, swimming and playing with kids. We had 2 toddlers with us and they had great fun playing with the beach toys and taking a long stroll along the shore. The water was warm for swimming and playing frisbee and other games. There was parking close to the beach area and a shower for rinsing off the sand.
We are staying at the Marriott about few hundred feet from this beach. It is large and has enough space to fit great amount of people. The sand is clean, plenty of waves and cleaner ocean water great for snorkeling. There are chairs to lay in free of charge, if you require an umbrella there is an up charge. Overall our favorite beach with a walking distance.
Absolutely love this place! I recommend to anyone who wants a super chill Maui experience. The condos are amazing and the beach pool is super relaxing!
