By far, the BEST Luau I have ever attended. My family of 5 + 6 other family members that included 3 year olds totalling 11 attended on a Friday evening, July 21, 2017. The food menu was emu smoked Kahlua pig, teriyaki chicken, teriyaki steak, hawaiian Mac salad, and many other choices. They had 4 different amazing desserts, coffee L. And an open bar the entire Luau. This luau was VERY kid friendly and was able to keep 3 year olds entertained. The hula/fire show was absolutely over the top. The dancers were superb and very skilled in hula dance. I found myself so entranced into the story of the show. The views were amazing with the sun setting as your back drop and the ocean waves crashing. The hawaiian music played/sung during the show was amazing. I will definitely do this luau on my next visit.
Really commercial and food just ok. Ive been cooking 25years and this was as generic a menu as a tourist can expect. Flame guy dropped his flame 3 times and performance was kiddy like in every way. Great if your 10 years old i guess. Ill go to no more of these. One and done. Thank goodness .
The food was good and the performances were great. The included alcohol could have been mixed a bit better, but not too big of a deal. What frustrated me about the performance (which was indoors for weather) was the electric acoustic guitar was too loud to understand much of the storytelling between dancing. The staff member I tried explaining this to told me i could sit somewhere else, which wasn't really a solution. Had the performance been outside, it probably would have been great. Just glad I bought my ticket from Costco.
I recommend the luau @ the Marriott. Very nice, upscale.
All and all would not recommend. These review are important because you're on vacation, right? You have a limited amount of time that you're here in Maui. Don't waste it on this luau.
One sprinkle of rain, the herd you into a banquet hall where they have made zero effort and won’t give you your money back. Joke is an understatement. It was beautiful out and they made no effort just crammed everyone in a disgusting banquet room
Low rent. Run down grounds where the actual luau is located. Poor stage placement. You have this beautiful coastline and mountain view, but you have your back to all of that. For $130 a ticket, it should be upscale, right? It's not. Additionally, I would not have ate the food they had @ the this luau for free (steak poor quality, and severely overbooked (well done). Also, it's a tourist trap. I hate that. You're in a location for a fixed amount of time and they have all these vendors selling their trinkets. Tacky.
