My wife and I booked the stay for 3 nights here. The prices are reasonable and walkable to beaches. The rooms are pretty modern and some of the buildings have block wall construction which doesn't look that great but is great for sound abatement. We had a room right by the beach, which was also right under the suite. The walls hid noise really well but the floor and ceilings track noise a lot. The staff here was great and was able to move us to another room with no one over us to keep us up at night. After the move, our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The grounds are very well maintained and I loved having breakfast on our private balcony and watching the sunsets from the sunroom.
I stayed in the 3 bedroom suite with my family and friends, and it was PERFECT! The suite is very spacious, has a beautiful new kitchen, and there is a washer and dryer in the unit. We loved being close to our loved ones, yet felt that we had plenty of space to feel comfortable inside the suite. There is a delicious and plentiful breakfast included with a beautiful outdoor garden area to enjoy it with my group. The beach across the small road is amazing and essentially private. The management is friendly and the service was excellent. We loved our stay at Kohea Kai and we can't wait to return!
I can't begin to tell you how amazing this place is. the location is great and the staff is hands down the most wonderful people I have met and seen. Molly down in the office is the nicest and sweetest person I've ever met. The free breakfast is not like every other free breakfast either. It's fabulous! Cold AC in the rooms and also really nice chairs and toys to take to the beach as well for free. I could go on and on about this place but it would take hours to write it all. Can't wait to come back in a month! Thanks y'all!
I loved this place and the staff! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Studio (cheapest option) and while sitting on the lanai you can see the ocean and the mountains. Very amazing. You can literally cross the street (2 lanes, super slow speed limit) and be on the beach. Having stayed at huge hotels, this is definitely my preference. The room was perfectly sized for 2 people - and being on vacation I don't spend much time in a room other than sleeping.... and speaking of which, the bed was comfortable! If/when we come back to Maui we will definitely make a reservation here!
Great little hotel. Beautiful garden with a small pool and hot tub. Tables in the garden to eat your free hot breakfast. Fast WiFi as well. Not a big vacation resort, but a really great hotel.
I would definitely recommend this place.
