We got our surfing lessons on a good day, just me and the wifey. Our instructor Jesse was amazing! Just the way he talks can get you in a surfing mood. Great lessons, pro tips, his buddy Jeff took pics of us while we're out in the water. The beach they took us to was great for beginners. You can stand up but not too shallow that you hit the rocks when you fall. Also had some good starter waves, about 2-3 foot waves. There we're some other group classes out there but just have to be careful. After the lessons you can walk across the street and eat at the little cafes or food trucks. Overall, great experience and awesome people at the big kahuna!!!
So much fun, especially for having never surfed before! Everyone is super nice and I was able to stand up and ride waves in no time even though I have horrible balance. Some turtles even swam up to us!!
Great morning of surfing lessons! Instructor Jesse is great and had most of us up and surfing in no time. He was patient waiting for good waves for us and gave us lots of advice along the way. Definitely a great way to learn to surf in "The Cove" at Kalama Park in Kihei. Also not far from Kamaole Beach Parks 1, 2, and 3 (Kam 1, Kam 2, Kam 3) for suntanning and snorkeling. Have fun!
Wonderful, kind guys. Took the surfing lesson, and it was a terrific value; the instructor was competent yet easygoing, making the whole experience enjoyable and informative.
Best part, my highly uncoordinated self managed to stand up on the first try, and do so another 6 times thereafter! Anyone who knows me can attest to that being nothing short of miraculous - and an example of how great the instructor was.
Lucas was an amazing instructor. I got up my first time out. I felt completely safe and am coming back. I would recommend this to anyone. The owner and his son are great
