Very clean beach and was very beautiful. The pond was amazing. We can't wait to come back!
Very clean but a bit ritzy shopping mall. It was rather empty when I visited so I hope they can stay in business.
I wish I had found this beach sooner! I have two kiddos who aren't the strongest of swimmers. This beach is PERFECT. The rock wall surrounding the beach allows the natural waves as the tide rises, and offers kids the chance to learn how to maneuver waves in a safer environment. We didn't see turtles, but hear they frequent this beach. Locals call this a "baby beach". I call it a perfect beach for parents with kids who aren't ready for drops-offs, and rip currents.
Turtles and occasionally monk seals can be observed sunning themselves on the ancient fishpond rock wall. The pond itself is only waist deep with a sandy bottom. Very user friendly.
This is a great place for small kids to safely enjoy a beach. Protected from waves by the walls of an ancient Hawaiian fish pond, there often green sea turtles basking on the rocks. Picnic tables, shade trees, shower, etc. Nice place to watch the sunset too.
Highly recommend the National Geographic art store. The staff there were extremely friendly and knowledgable about the backstories of every photo.
