At dawn there were turtles between Kam 1 and Kam 2, you can watch from the bench at Kam 1 or jump in and snorkel with them father offshore!
This is such a great little beach. It's not super huge, but it's not cramped, and it isn't over flowing with people. It was a nice place to sit and eat breakfast; we picked up some lemon cake, coffee, and a bowl of fresh pineapple from the gas station or ABC store (can't remember which) and sat in the sand. There are also some beautiful sunsets here.
I just spent a week on Maui and this was one of my favorite beaches. Beautiful location with Kaho‘olawe in the distance. Calm waters for swimming. The submerged rocks are teeming with sear turtles and beautiful fish. Awesome place.
Sit back up on the grassy area away from the beach when the afternoon wind picks up. You'll avoid getting sand thrown at you by the wind. Huge parking lot across the street from the park and an ABC store with fresh n tasty sandwiches. Facing the beach go to the left of the bathrooms.
Nice little stretch of beach front. Not too busy. Life guard present.
