This is a great beach for kids, families, or just about anyone to hang out, swim, do some snorkeling, boogie boarding, etc. This beach (#3, as opposed to Kamaole 1 and 2) is generally more locals and is less crowded. There's a big park behind the beach with picnic tables, grills, benches, grass, shade, etc. If you come on a weekend you're practically guaranteed to see at least one bounce house setup on the large lawns.
Best beach for kids and kicking back! Easy snorkeling and great boogie boarding beach. When we were there at the mid to end of November we saw dozens of turtles right in the breakwater. Hard to stay the legal distance away- they were right in the surf with us, eating seaweed and other plants on the rocks. Lifeguards at rack of the Kam 1, 2 and 3 beaches, very popular and can get crowded too
Beautiful beach with a shaded picnic area and benches. There is also a nice grassy own area. The beach gets a bit crowded. And parking is convenient.
A perfect beach to snorkel. I swam with many sea turtles over a few days of snorkeling there. Not too crowded, plenty parking and the lifeguards are very watchful for our safety.
Great beach, very fine clean sand. Great place for snorkeling too, plus there's life guards on duty so it's as safe as it can get in the sea. There's BBQ places and public toilets too and plenty of space for people to spread out. Free parking too.
